Follow-upThe Cb radio that came with the Turner mic is a Cobra 139. A 1970's vintage,
23 channel base station, with SSB. I cleaned it up, replaced the three 12V lamps, and adjusted the output power and modulation.
The AM will now do about 11 watts output at 100% modulation. That's the max for SSB too. Not too bad for a 35 years old unit.
Now, what do I do with it? My CB days are way in the past. Heck, I haven't even been on my Ham radio very much for for the
last several months.

New Mic One of my students asked me if I knew anything about CB radio. "A little bit", I said. He asked if i wanted
an old CB. My first was thought was no, but I said bring it in. Well, it is an old Cobra 139, and I could care less about
that radio. However, on top of it was a very dirty Turner SSK. I cleaned it up and it looks great. The inside was super clean.
I wired it to my Yaesu, and sure enough, it drives it like a Turner should. Audio reports are good also, which is the norm
for these mics..
